25 Week Belly Pic

I can't ever get Brock to take belly pics for me, so here's one from the computer camera. I can't believe we haven't been taking pictures as I get bigger, but I know I'll do a maternity shoot sometime in April when my belly gets really big! I'm at the point where my jackets are BARELY zipping up over my belly, and a lot of my shirts are definitely not modest to wear anymore because they don't cover me!
I'm at the point now where my back is hurting pretty bad on a daily basis. I cleaned my whole house a couple weeks ago (for about 8 hours!) and my back has been hurting since. I knew it would hurt eventually because of my arthritis, but luckily it's still manageable.

Our little Tim is moving around like crazy now. I can feel him constantly throughout the day. I think he's like his dad and moves around a lot even when he's sleeping! Brock has felt him a few times now, too, since the baby's kicks are pretty big now.

We ordered his crib the other day from Babies R Us. My friend, Katie, gave us her crib a long time ago. It's actually a pretty funny story because right before I found out I am pregnant, I told Brock that we needed to go get the crib from his mom's house where we were storing it and take it to D.I. I was sick of having it around because of how frustrated I was with not being able to get pregnant! Luckily, we never got around to getting the crib! SOOO...we finally went about two weeks ago to get it from his mom's so we could put it together and make sure it is sturdy and everything. When I was looking up the model number on the internet trying to find what hardware I needed (since we lost the bag of screws), I found the crib had been recalled. After checking with my friend to make sure she didn't want the voucher, we sent in everything and got a $220 voucher towards a new crib! The one I ended up picking out still cost us a little bit after the voucher, but we LOVE it and it's even short enough for me! They don't do drop sides on cribs too much anymore because of the safety concerns, so having a crib with short sides was pretty important for me. So, that's my crib story ;)

I have my next appointment on the 1st of February. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. It seems like just a few weeks ago I found out I was pregnant, so I'm glad it's going by fast for us. I can't wait for the little guy to get here. We decided definitely on the name Timothy Willis Christensen. While we both love the name Daxton, we both feel like we need to name our first son after his grandpa and great grandpa who have both passed away. Both of these men were some of the most influential men in our lives, and we hope our son can take after them in many ways! We are also very excited for him to have a cousin joining the family a few months after he is born. Good things are happening in our family!!

Belly Pic

I still haven't taken any belly pics standing up, but here's one upside down! I was 5 1/2 months pregnant here. My whole fam damily was enjoying a Christmas vacation in Bear Lake, and my little sisters didn't think I could do a handstand still. I proved them wrong ...

Super Tuesday With Mom!

I had a busy day with my mom yesterday crafting for the baby! It was so much fun, and I've had so many projects laying around with new sewing machine or knowledge of how to do them. I learned so much! My mom, my mom's friend, and I all tied the navy blue quilt yesterday. Then her friend said she would bind the edges for us since it was a little tricky with the soft baby fabric on the back. Meanwhile, my mom and I got to work on the green blanket and some burp cloths. She also let me borrow her sewing machine so I made the car seat canopy last night. My little sister, Hannah, and I also experimented with the "Pee-Pee Tee-Pee" pattern I found and got some good laughs out of that! The beanies I've been making the last few weeks. I don't even know if any of them will fit him! We also bought the materials to make his bumper pads, but those will be quite a project so we decided to save that for another day.

It was so fun to learn to use the sewing machine, and I can't wait to make more stuff!
